EPAM Systems seeks a Senior Agentic Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of intelligent multi-agent systems that combine reasoning, decision-making, and autonomous execution. You will own the full lifecycle, embedding security, auditability, and performance into every design while enabling other teams through reusable templates, clear documentation, and thoughtful guidance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software or automation engineering with agentic system design.
• Expertise in designing multi-agent architectures and cross-agent collaboration.
• Proficiency in memory techniques, vector stores and RAG pipelines.
• Experience with custom RAG and retrieval optimization for semantic search.
• Deep knowledge of MCP, including HTTP, WebSocket, and gRPC, plus auth.
• Skills in JavaScript and/or Python for data preprocessing.
• Capability to design secure, auditable pipelines with encryption and PII handling.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure cloud frameworks.
• Knowledge of observability tools, OpenTelemetry, and cost/performance tracking.
• Ability to produce reusable templates and cross-team documentation.
• Fluency in written and spoken English (min B2).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and deployment of end-to-end agentic systems with reasoning, decision-making, and autonomous execution.
• Design multi-agent architectures enabling collaboration or critique among agents.
• Build advanced context and memory capabilities with persistent memory and retrieval strategies.
• Develop custom RAG and vector-based retrievers focusing on relevance and latency.
• Orchestrate tools via MCP with secure authentication and transport layers.
• Script in JavaScript or Python to extend functionality.
• Architect secure, auditable pipelines with encryption and PII handling.
• Work with cloud agent frameworks (AWS, GCP, Azure) at an intermediate level.
• Implement end-to-end observability using OpenTelemetry and monitoring.
• Create reusable templates and documentation for cross-team adoption.
• Own full lifecycle from design to observability and iteration.
