Job summary

ib vogt GmbH in Poland is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team in Wrocław. You will ensure accurate records, timely reporting, and help transition from outsourced to in-house accounting while supporting subsidiaries across the group.

The role requires 3-5+ years in accounting, IFRS knowledge, and strong Excel and ERP skills. You will collaborate with international teams, support month-end close, tax compliance, and annual audits, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Master’s degree and/or professional qualification (ACCA, CPA) is an advantage
• 3-5+ years of accounting or finance experience, including senior role
• Strong knowledge of Polish accounting and tax regulations, IFRS knowledge
• Experience with month-end/year-end closings, financial reporting, audits, tax compliance
• Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools; Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC a plus
• Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, lookups, data analysis

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day general ledger activities and postings
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Manage reconciliations (bank, intercompany, balance sheet)
• Oversee payment runs and supplier/invoice processing
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, IFRS, and policies
• Coordinate VAT, CIT, and WHT filings with external advisors
• Coordinate annual audit processes and respond to auditor queries
• Support finance manager in improving accounting processes during transition to in-house
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting
• Manage ERP system data accuracy and reconciliations
