About the role
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to support the effectiveness and continuous improvement of three engineering teams within the ESW organization, with potential involvement in hardware (HW) teams. The teams operate in different Agile environments and may follow different frameworks and ways of working, including SAFe.
The primary focus will be on supporting the teams, strengthening collaboration, improving delivery effectiveness, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to broader organizational initiatives as part of an ongoing internal transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support three engineering teams in improving their effectiveness, collaboration, and delivery performance.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and help teams adopt and continuously improve their ways of working.
- Coach teams and individuals on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement.
- Identify organizational and team-level impediments, facilitating their resolution and escalating issues when necessary.
- Drive and support process improvements and organizational change initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering leaders, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to align team objectives and priorities.
- Support constructive conflict resolution and help teams navigate challenges and changing circumstances.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, critical thinking, and continuous learning.
- Contribute to the wider Agile transformation by sharing best practices and supporting improvements beyond individual teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with flexibility for candidates who demonstrate strong relevant experience and potential.
- Previous experience working in an engineering environment, ideally involving firmware, embedded software, or hardware development.
- Working knowledge of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and experience supporting teams in scaled Agile environments.
- A strong leadership mindset, with the ability to influence, coach, and empower teams rather than simply facilitate ceremonies.
- Proven experience driving change and implementing process improvements, supported by tangible examples or documented case studies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to facilitate discussions, resolve conflicts, and manage escalations.
- A proactive, analytical approach to identifying problems and improving team performance.
Nice to Have
- Experience with other Agile scaling frameworks and methodologies beyond SAFe.
- Previous leadership experience, such as Team Lead, Product Owner, or a similar role.
- Experience supporting organizational or cultural transformation initiatives.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams in complex technical environments.
