Job summary

RED Global is seeking an experienced SAP HCM Payroll Consultant for a remote, 12-month engagement. The role focuses on SAP Germany Payroll within an ECC landscape, with ASAP start.

You will gather requirements, configure payroll schemas and wage types, support integrations with HR, finance and time management, and provide documentation and knowledge transfer to stakeholders across a fully remote, international team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as an SAP HCM/Payroll Consultant.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP German Payroll.
• Experience in SAP ECC environments (S/4HANA not required).
• Combination of functional and technical expertise.
• Experience with payroll interfaces and integrations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication.
• Experience in Life Sciences or regulated industries (preferred).
• Experience with multinational/global organizations (preferred).

Location: Remote (100%)

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and enhance SAP HCM Payroll (Germany) within an SAP ECC landscape.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions.
• Configure and optimize payroll schemas, rules, wage types, and payroll processes.
• Support payroll-related integrations with HR, finance, time management, and third-party systems.
• Perform impact analysis, testing, defect resolution, and production support.
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Legal, Compliance, and technical teams to ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and best-practice recommendations.

Required Experience

• 5 years' experience as an SAP HCM / Payroll Consultant.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP German Payroll.
• Experience working in SAP ECC environments (S/4HANA experience not required).
• Combination of functional and technical expertise, including configuration, troubleshooting, and support.
• Experience with payroll interfaces, reporting, and integration points.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Previous experience within Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or other regulated industries (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience supporting multinational or global organizations preferred
• Knowledge of HR processes and compliance requirements related to payroll.
• Techno-functional consultant who can work independently and interact confidently with business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable operating in a fully remote international team.
