Job summary

Pentoz is a remote‑first tech company building advanced digital commerce solutions. We are seeking an X-Cart Developer to design, develop, and maintain eCommerce sites on the X-Cart platform.

You will work with designers, marketers, and project managers to deliver scalable storefronts with strong user experiences. You will implement custom development, module integrations, and API connectivity while ensuring performance, security, and PCI compliance.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years hands-on experience with X-Cart (v4 or v5) and PHP-based eCommerce platforms.
• Strong knowledge of MVC architecture and template engines (Smarty/Twig).
• Experience with Git and version control workflows.
• Solid understanding of carts, checkout, product catalogs and order management.

Responsibilities

• Custom Development: Build and customize eCommerce websites on X-Cart.
• Module Integration: Install and configure third‑party modules, plugins, and themes.
• Performance Optimization: Improve speed and mobile responsiveness.
• API & System Integration: Connect X-Cart with payment gateways, CRMs and ERP via APIs.
• Maintenance & Support: Bug fixes, updates and enhancements for existing stores.
• Security & Compliance: PCI compliance and secure coding practices.
• Collaboration: Work with cross‑functional teams to meet business goals.
