Job summary

Pentoz is hiring a BigCommerce Developer to lead design, development, and deployment of custom eCommerce sites on the BigCommerce platform. You will collaborate with UI/UX designers, marketers, and product managers to deliver scalable shopping experiences for clients across retail, DTC, B2B, and niche industries.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of BigCommerce development experience (Stencil, API, headless).
• Built or modified BigCommerce themes, apps, or checkout flows.
• Experience with REST APIs, OAuth, and third-party service integrations.
• Detail-oriented with responsive design practices.
• Enjoys fast-paced, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Theme Customization: Implementing responsive UI/UX based on mockups or Figma/Adobe XD designs.
• API Integrations: Connecting third-party tools (ERP, CRM, inventory systems, payment gateways) using BigCommerce APIs, webhooks, and RESTful services.
• Backend Logic: Developing custom functionality using BigCommerce server-side scripts and custom apps (Node.js, Express).
• Testing & Deployment: Conducting QA, troubleshooting issues, and deploying changes using version control and staging environments.
