CAPITAL IP INVESTMENT PARTNERS LLC is seeking an experienced professional to originate and evaluate opportunistic credit within a technology-focused platform. You will underwrite, structure across capital stacks, and manage a portfolio of complex technology credit transactions in a remotely operating team.

The role emphasizes deep financial modeling and due diligence, with opportunities for carried interest and GP economics.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years in private credit, special situations, private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or corporate development with a technology focus.
• Track record originating and executing structured credit, asset-based finance, or revenue-based structures.
• Strong financial modeling, due diligence, and risk assessment skills, including recovery/downside analysis.
• Deep understanding of technology business models and capital structures.
• Creativity in structuring complex, off-the-run, or out-of-favor positions.
• Workout or restructuring experience is a meaningful plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship skills.
• Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment.

Aufgaben

• Originate and evaluate opportunistic credit across platform pillars: structured debt, NAV lending, asset-based finance, and revenue/royalty financing.
• Underwrite tech-driven business models across software, hardware, AI, data analytics, FinTech, IoT, and digital infrastructure.
• Structure across capital structures: senior secured, unsecured, convertible, bespoke solutions.
• Conduct primary due diligence: financial/collateral analysis, recovery modeling, and risk assessment.
• Negotiate and structure deal terms with internal partners and external counsel.
• Build and maintain relationships with tech companies, sponsors, lenders, banks, and placement agents.
• Monitor the portfolio and actively manage stressed/complex positions through recovery.
• Stay on top of tech trends to drive high quality deal flow.
