Job summary

Chargeflow is seeking a hands-on Reconciliation & Collections specialist for its Billing & Collections team. You will reconcile customer payments against invoices, own end-to-end resolution, and chase open items beyond month-end, with an eye for data integrity across multiple systems.

The role emphasizes ownership, Excel-driven work, and interest in AI-assisted workflows (Claude). Remote position with a fast-moving fintech culture and opportunities to impact cash flow and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in reconciliation, collections, billing, or accounts receivable.
• Ownership mindset: responsible for accounts until resolved.
• Persistence to follow up after month-end.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS).
• Critical eye for data across multiple systems.
• Attention to detail to spot discrepancies.
• Responsive and easy to work with across Slack, monday.com, email.
• Clear communicator with finance and non-finance teams.
• Curious about using AI tools (Claude) to reduce manual effort.
• Native or near-native English.
• Comfortable with customers from SMB to Enterprise.
• Familiarity with chargebacks or payment disputes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile customer payments against invoices across the full customer base, from SMB to Enterprise.
• Match every incoming payment to the invoiced amount and close the loop between payment and invoice.
• Investigate unmatched, partial, or unexpected items down to root cause.
• Track what each customer owes and follow up until fully resolved, including post month-end items.
• Own accounts end-to-end, ensuring reconciliation is complete and accurate.
• Maintain clear, documented working papers showing balance derivations.
• Do heavy lifting in Excel and cross-check data across several systems.
• Take ownership of discrepancies and drive to a clean answer.
• Communicate with Billing, Finance, Operations, and Customer Success.
• Be responsive across Slack, monday.com, and email; join calls when needed.
• Explain billing/reconciliation clearly to non-finance colleagues.
