Job summary

Finom is seeking a senior Reconciliation & Reporting Process Owner to design end-to-end reconciliation across SEPA, SWIFT and card payments, including automated reporting. Location options include Poland, Spain, or other European countries with remote work.

You will own the architecture, extend into investment reconciliation, and build dashboards using Databricks, Metabase or Tableau while ensuring data quality and automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years working directly in reconciliation, payments operations, or a closely related financial operations role.
• Be strong in SQL.
• Be fluent in data tooling (Databricks, Metabase, Tableau or similar).
• Build with AI to speed up automation and reporting work.
• Think like an engineer about process and automation.
• Be genuinely autonomous with minimal supervision.
• Communicate with authority to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Appetite for complexity, especially in investment reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Own the Architecture — Design, build, and improve reconciliation processes end to end across payment flows.
• Extend reconciliation into investment and portfolio areas with external data providers.
• Own reporting — build automated vendor and regulatory reports tied to reconciliation data.
• Build in Data Quality — design validations to catch data issues at the source.
• Automate repetitive steps using internal tooling or external platforms.
• Build dashboards for real-time visibility into breaks and process health.
• Drive process improvements and act as internal SME on reconciliation data and tooling.
• Work autonomously from problem to shipped solution with minimal oversight.
• Have worked in a regulated financial institution (bank, EMI, or payments).
