Job summary

Veralto, via Esko’s Agentic AI initiative, seeks an engineering leader to drive development and delivery of a shared AI platform used by multiple product teams. You will guide architecture, quality, and ownership while mentoring engineers and aligning with product goals.

You will work across product engineering, cloud, security, and design to ensure scalable, reliable, production-ready AI capabilities, shaping the platform’s technical direction globally.

Qualifications

• Strong production software engineering experience in Python, TypeScript, Java, or a similar language.
• Experience leading and developing engineers, including line management, coaching, performance feedback, and meaningful technical ownership.
• Experience building a platform, API, or shared service used by multiple teams, with good abstractions and interfaces.
• Experience designing or building production AI systems using LLMs, tools, or agentic workflows, with awareness of limitations and risks.
• Track record taking uncertain ideas through evaluation, implementation, and adoption as production capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Agentic AI engineering team with clear goals and career development.
• Contribute to design, implementation, and operation of large areas of the Agentic AI platform.
• Shape platform architecture, interfaces, and quality bar in collaboration with platform teams.
• Translate requirements into reusable platform capabilities while avoiding forks.
• Establish engineering practices for reliability, security, observability, and performance.
• Support adoption of the shared platform by product teams and scale domain capabilities.
• Foster an experimental and learning culture with accountable production outcomes.
• Define metrics to guide priorities and improvements.
