Job summary

Palo Alto Networks, Inc. is seeking an MDR Analyst on our Unit 42 team to monitor customer security, hunt threats, and respond to incidents using Cortex XDR.

You will analyze alerts, determine root causes, and coordinate with Security Research, Threat Intelligence, and Threat Hunting to rapidly detect and remediate emerging threats.

Excellent English, 2+ years in a SOC/IR role, and experience with EDR, SIEM, and NGFW are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a multi-tier SOC or IR role.
• Experience with EDR, SIEM, and NGFW.
• Familiarity with cyberattack TTPs.
• Excellent written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of security incidents from detection to remediation and customer communication.
• Analyze and investigate security alerts from Cortex XDR to determine root cause and response actions.
• Collaborate with global customers to provide best-in-class security monitoring and response.
• Work with Security Research, Threat Intelligence, and Threat Hunting teams to enhance detection and remediation of threats.
• Provide feedback to product, research, and engineering to improve security offerings.
