Job summary

RTB House is seeking a Junior SOC Security Engineer to monitor IT infrastructure, triage alerts, and escalate incidents. You will analyze malware payloads, IoCs, and behavior, supporting AI-driven threat hunting with AI tools.

You will work with SIEM/EDR/XDR systems, verify alerts, and assist in developing new security solutions, while continuously improving detection and response capabilities. Remote-friendly, flexible contract options offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a SOC environment at an L1 level (min, 1 year).
• Fluency in English & Polish (min. B2).
• Threat analysis and incident response skills.
• Knowledge of SIEM tools (Splunk Enterprise Security).
• Knowledge of XDR/EDR solutions (SentinelOne).
• Knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTPS, DNS).
• Willingness to develop skills towards automation and scripting (Python/Bash).
• Knowledge of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and NIST.

Responsibilities

• Responding to incidents in accordance with established procedures.
• Verifying alerts from SIEM/EDR/XDR class systems.
• Supporting more experienced team members in developing current tools or implementing new security solutions.
• Escalating complex cases and supporting the SOC team in their daily operations.
