Virtual Rockstar is hiring an Insurance Verification & Authorization Specialist for our client’s rehabilitation clinic network in the Mountain Time Zone. This fully remote role supports clinical and administrative operations, ensuring timely, compassionate service to patients and families.

The position is full-time and long-term, requiring 1 year of medical admin or VA experience, fluent English, and the ability to work Mountain Time business hours.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in medical admin support or VA work.
• Familiarity with U.S. insurance verification workflows.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits (Availity, UHC, Cigna, Medicaid, Medicare, Railroad, regional payers).
• Assist with re-verifications during year-end periods.
• Support claims follow-up and calls to insurance providers (future phase).
• Assist with intake data as needed.
• Support PCCs in insurance-related workflows.
• Collaborate with PCCs and admin staff for smooth workflow.
