Job summary

Playground Labs is seeking a Game Director to set the product and design vision of a game while guiding external teams to deliver engaging gameplay experiences. The Game Director will collaborate with executive management to marry core gameplay mechanics with live ops and monetization execution.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience making games.
• Ability to champion a strong design vision linking core gameplay, live ops and monetization.
• Strong self-motivation and initiative.
• Team player with ability to work in a demanding technical environment.
• Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in management roles.
• Ability to deliver high-quality systems and features.
• Ability to adapt designs based on feedback and data.

Responsibilities

• Create vision documents and product goals informing contributors.
• Own and evangelize product direction.
• Coordinate with external teams and manage external parties.
• Ensure decisions maximize impact and speed.
• Advocate for players to ensure usability, playability, visual excitement.
• Establish design standards and systems for fun, balanced experiences.
