Job summary

Talanto in Kraków is seeking an engineer to own bug triage, root-cause analysis and release engineering for a ChromeOS hardware fleet used in a large enterprise video-conferencing program. You will own the operational lifecycle of release candidates, first-line triage and patching across ChromeOS devices, meeting-room hardware bundles, firmware and AV peripherals.

Responsibilities include triaging inbound bug reports, performing RCA from logs and crash dumps, authoring patches and verifying

Qualifications

Proven experience with Chromium OS and the Linux kernel, including driver debugging and CVE backporting.
Experience managing release candidate lifecycles and build pipelines for embedded or OS-level platforms.
Strong skills in log parsing, crash dump analysis and multi-device debugging.
Fluent with Gerrit/Git and Jira or similar issue trackers, with ability to cover a 4–6 hour overlap with US EST.

Responsibilities

Triage bug reports: classify, priority-tag, assign components and identify duplicates.
Perform root cause analysis from system logs, crash dumps and traces; reproduce complex interactions.
Author and review best-effort patches and verify fixes in release branches.
Manage RC operations end-to-end: branch cuts, nightly builds, RC validation, dashboards.
