Job summary

HID is seeking a Release and Deployment Engineer in Krakow to manage software delivery across environments. You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and coordinate with manufacturing, development, QA, and IT teams.

The role involves Linux-based infrastructure, containerized systems, observability, and ongoing process improvements. You will join a global, distributed team and drive secure, reliable software delivery, including international travel when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or EE is required.
• 5+ years in DevOps, deployment engineering or release management.
• Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
• SDLC knowledge and CI/CD expertise with automation.
• Hands-on Jenkins, Octopus Deploy; scripting in PowerShell or Python.

Responsibilities

• Manage release processes and deployments across environments.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code.
• Coordinate deployments with multiple teams including IT and QA.
• Provision and maintain Linux-based environments and infra.
• Monitor health, performance, logs and alerts.
• Support containerized environments, HA, and platform reliability.
• Implement DevSecOps and secure software delivery practices.
• Lead Go-Live activities and ensure successful releases.
• Travel may be required for fieldwork and assignments.
