Job summary

Luxoft is seeking an experienced Linux Platform Engineer for Kraków to own end-to-end Linux-based device development. You will serve as the escalation point for complex customer issues, drive fixes, and contribute to platform improvements across kernel, networking, and userspace components.

You will collaborate with software engineers, create diagnostic tools, and help shape product design while delivering robust, scalable software for enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Linux-based embedded platforms.
• Deep knowledge of Linux kernel internals, systemd, device drivers, IPC (D-Bus, gRPC, ZeroMQ, Unix sockets).
• Proficiency in C, C++ (C++17), Python, and shell scripting; read and debug code across system layers.
• Broad knowledge across the Linux stack: kernel, drivers, networking, userspace frameworks.
• Experience with debugging tools: strace, ltrace, gdb, perf, ftrace, tcpdump/Wireshark, journalctl.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in design and development of next generation products.
• Translate system architecture and requirements into software components.
• Review system design and interfaces; provide technical feedback.
