Job summary

Luxoft Poland in Kraków is seeking a Software Quality Engineer (Regular) focusing on manual, component-level testing of video collaboration devices with embedded Android. The role combines hands-on software validation with hardware interaction, including Linux/macOS tooling, Jira defect tracking, and collaboration with developers and product owners in a hybrid on-site setting in Kraków.

Qualifications

3–5 years in manual software testing, preferably at component or subsystem level
Hands-on experience testing embedded systems or hardware-related products
Strong working knowledge of Linux/macOS terminal usage and SSH
Familiarity with embedded Linux/macOS debugging tools
Experience with JIRA for defect tracking and test execution
Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, connectivity)
Ability to create clear, structured test documentation

Responsibilities

Execute manual, component-level test cases.
Validate individual software components and subsystems before system-level integration.
Perform regression testing, exploratory testing, and ad hoc testing.
Conduct functional testing with a strong focus on component behavior.
Validate hardware-software interactions under real-world conditions.
Verify fixes and perform bug re-testing.
Collaborate with developers, automation engineers, and product owners during development cycles.
