Job summary

Evotym, a fintech company, is seeking a Chief Business Development Officer to turn new market opportunities into profitable business lines. This hands-on role requires testing ideas, winning initial customers and partners, and scaling successful initiatives with dedicated teams.

You will work remotely with an international team, prioritise opportunities with the CEO and cross-functional partners, and own commercial performance across new verticals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven business development experience.
• Experience in fintech, card issuing, card processing or similar card-based solutions.
• Experience developing new markets, building partnerships or launching new products.
• Strong commercial acumen incl. revenue models, profitability and unit economics.
• International business experience, ideally across Europe and the UK; other regions welcome.
• Ability to work in a remote, international team with at least four hours of overlapping availability.
• Languages: English, Russian.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess new markets, industries and customer segments for card-based payment solutions.
• Develop and validate business hypotheses against market potential, customer needs and profitability.
• Create tailored value propositions and commercial strategies for new verticals.
• Explore embedding card issuing and payment infrastructure into third-party products via APIs and integrations.
• Acquire initial customers and partners, negotiate terms and drive to production launch.
• Develop new business models and revenue streams, owning their commercial performance.
• Work with the CEO and internal teams to prioritise opportunities and allocate resources.
• Track revenue, profitability and ROI, and build dedicated teams to scale successful initiatives.
