Job summary

Altimi is seeking a Solution Architect to lead a rapid, AI-supported refactoring of a large-scale EdTech platform. You will design a target architecture from PHP/Laravel to React + Node.js, with a high-performance database, and set up AI-native delivery using MCP servers and AI agents.

The role is client-facing, involving technical workshops, guiding decisions, and shaping delivery with AI-assisted tools across the SDLC. Fluent English is required and remote/hybrid options are available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software development.
• 3+ years in an architect role.
• Strong expertise in AI discovery tools (Explain Everything).
• Proficiency in building MCP servers for SDLC.
• Experience migrating legacy systems.
• Strong PHP/Laravel, Node.js and React knowledge.
• Experience with mobile app architecture and high-traffic systems.
• Relational databases and data migration experience.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
• Consultant mindset with client-facing skills.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-driven discovery to recover business requirements and logic from legacy code.
• Design the target headless architecture (React + Node.js) and select databases.
• Design and build MCP servers for SDLC components.
• Plan AI-assisted migration of content and data.
• Define how AI tooling is used across delivery, including validation checks.
• Lead workshops and technical discussions with the client.
• Support pre-sales estimates, roadmaps and technical proposals.
• Guide and review the work of the development team.
