It specializes in providing expert services in planning, engineering, architecture, and design across diverse sectors, including infrastructure, transportation, urban planning, construction, energy, manufacturing, and IT systems. The Design Center currently collaborates with three countries: Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.

What type of project do you work with:

Projects of a variety of sizes, both larger and smaller based in Norway and Sweden. Both the new railway and the repair and expansion of existing railway yard reconstructions, catenary replacements. Working with rail/catenary design, you produce results in the form of system descriptions, technical descriptions, plan descriptions, models, and drawings - depending on the type of project. We work on projects at all stages where there may be different requirements for documentation, drawings, and calculations.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and development of overhead contact systems: alignment design, template design, including ducting of tracks, yards, L Sections, cross-sections;
  • Preparation of technical drawings and documentation, such as layout plans, cross-sections, and cable routing for electrification works;
  • Conducting technical assessments and calculations, including wire tensioning, electrical clearances, and system performance under operational conditions;
  • Coordination with multidisciplinary teams (track, civil, structural) to ensure proper integration of the catenary system within the overall railway infrastructure;
  • Create the content of the maps that show and clarify what areas are needed to be able to build the new railway, not only the railway itself.
Our requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Railway Engineering, or related field;
  • Professional experience in Railway/Lightrail/Tramway assignments. We are open to all experience levels, ranging from 3 years to over 10 years of relevant expertise;

  • Involved in railway design assignments, including preparation and analysis of Pegging Plans, Layout Plans, CSDs, SEDs, as well as Dropper and Clearance calculations, and other related elements of traction power systems;
  • Ability to adapt to other surrounding things like roads, existing buildings/facilities, ducting, how the existing ground/geology looks, piping, etc;
  • Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
