Job summary

Sweco Design Center Poland is a key internal design hub focusing on planning, engineering, architecture, and design across rail, infrastructure, and IT systems. You will design overhead contact systems, prepare drawings, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on catenary projects.

The role involves modeling, documentation, and coordination with civil, track, and structural teams to deliver integrated railway solutions in Poland and nearby markets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Railway Engineering, or related field.
3+ years to 10+ years of railway design experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, and OpenRail.

Responsibilities

Design and development of overhead contact systems (alignment, templates, ducting).
Prepare technical drawings and documentation (layout plans, cross-sections, cable routing).
Conduct technical assessments and calculations (wire tensioning, clearances, performance).
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate catenary with railway infrastructure.
Create maps showing areas required for new railway construction.
