Job summary

Sweco Design Center Poland, part of Sweco Group, seeks a BIM Engineer to work on 3D modeling and 2D extraction for bridge and tunnel projects. You will implement BIM processes, ensure standards, and contribute to design delivery in a ProjectWise environment.

Requirements include a Civil Engineering/Architecture degree, 3–10 years in BIM roles, Tekla Structures proficiency, and strong English communication. Hybrid work available in multiple Polish cities and remote options within Poland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Experience a relevant position as a BIM Engineer. We are open to all experience levels, ranging from 3 years to 10 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
• Proficiency in Tekla Structures, drawing, and modeling in 3D structural design.
• Experience from infrastructure (bridge) projects preferably reinforcement and concrete structures.
• Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Interest in the BIM/VDC area and willing to learn new software constantly.
• Good to have: Grasshopper/Rhino, ProjectWise, programming skills (Python, SQL, C#, VBA etc.).

Responsibilities

• 3D-model construction of new bridges/tunnels, typically concrete or steel structures.
• Extraction of 2D drawings from 3D models and completion of these to be used as “approved for construction”.
• Drawing set-up according to project/client specifications (standards) in a ProjectWise environment.
• Leading the development and implementation of BIM processes specific to the construction.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in BIM workflows, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions.

Sweco Design Center Poland operates as an internal design center within the Sweco Group. It specializes in providing expert services in planning, engineering, architecture, and design across diverse sectors, including infrastructure, transportation, urban planning, construction, energy, manufacturing, and IT systems. The Design Center currently collaborates with three countries: Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
