Job summary

Hw3 Llc is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer for an on-site role in Nysa, Poland. You will own the IPC process, assess subcontractor claims, and manage variation orders while coordinating with project teams and the customer to ensure accurate and timely commercial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Commercial Management, or related discipline.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, commercial management, or contract administration within construction or engineering projects.
  • Practical experience with Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs) and subcontractor progress claims.
  • Experience with Variation Orders/change management.
  • Good understanding of construction contracts, BoQ, measurement principles and payment terms.
  • Ability to interpret contracts, drawings, specifications, purchase orders and site records.
  • Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the IPC process for subcontractors and customer applications.
  • Manage monthly IPC and payment calendar, including quantity approvals, reviews and invoicing milestones.
  • Review progress claims and supporting documentation from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Validate quantities against daily reports, drawings, and site records.
  • Reconcile differences between subcontractor claims and customer-approved quantities.
  • Coordinate quantity approvals with Site Supervisors, PMs and the customer.
  • Prepare IPCs, payment statements and IPC packages.
  • Track customer reviews, approvals, and payment status.
  • Identify and track Variation Orders and changes to contractual scope.
  • Maintain an audit trail of quantities, approvals, certificates, and documentation.

Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer - HW3 | Nysa, Poland | On-site

Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer – Construction / EPC

We’re looking for a commercially focused and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer to support the project in Nysa, Poland, with a strong focus on the Interim Payment Certificate (IPC) process, subcontractor payments, progress assessment, and variation management.

The role will work closely with Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors, vendors, project leadership, and the customer to ensure accurate and timely commercial reporting and payment cycles.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the monthly Interim Payment Certificate (IPC) process for subcontractors and customer applications.
  • Establish and manage the monthly IPC and payment calendar, including quantity approvals, internal reviews, submissions, and invoicing milestones.
  • Review subcontractor and vendor progress claims and supporting documentation.
  • Validate reported quantities against daily reports, drawings, progress records, contractual scope and site documentation.
  • Reconcile differences between subcontractor claims, site records and customer-approved quantities.
  • Coordinate quantity approvals with Site Supervisors, Project Managers, Project Leadership and the customer.
  • Prepare subcontractor IPCs, payment statements and customer IPC packages.
  • Track and follow up on customer reviews, approvals, certifications and payment status.
  • Identify, evaluate and track Variation Orders and potential changes to contractual scope.
  • Maintain a clear audit trail of quantities, approvals, certificates, statements and supporting documentation.
  • Identify and elevate disputed quantities, missing documentation, delayed approvals, and commercial risks affecting billing or cash flow.
  • Work closely with project administration/project controls to support accurate and timely invoicing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, commercial management, or contract administration within construction or engineering projects.
