Job summary

Quanta Energy in Poland is seeking a Grid Connection Manager to own the end-to-end grid connection process for photovoltaic projects, from design to energization.

You will coordinate with DSOs, supervise protection and control systems, review documentation, and drive milestones with multi-disciplinary teams across Poland and Europe. Fluent Polish and English are required; a driving license and willingness to travel are expected.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience in grid connection, power engineering or electrical infrastructure, preferably utility-scale PV.
• Knowledge of grid connection process for generation assets in Poland.
• Experience working with Polish DSOs and their requirements.
• Strong knowledge of MV/HV infrastructure, transformers, switchgear and protection systems.
• Experience reviewing electrical design and grid connection docs.
• Familiarity with testing, commissioning, energization and acceptance processes.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent Polish and English.
• Category B driving licence and willingness to travel to sites

Responsibilities

• End-to-end management of grid connection for utility-scale PV projects.
• Coordinate technical activities with DSOs throughout the connection process.
• Supervise protection, automation and control systems and related circuits.
• Review and approve grid connection documentation for testing and commissioning.
• Prepare and align Grid Operation Cooperation Instructions and DSOs' requirements.
• Coordinate engineering, construction, commissioning and investor teams.
• Oversee substation and switchgear readiness for energization and acceptance.
• Obtain necessary technical approvals and decisions for energization.
• Represent the project in DSOs meetings and technical inspections.
• Manage schedules and progress with contractors and subcontractors.
• Identify risks and mitigate schedule and technical issues.
• Provide technical expertise across design, construction and commissioning phases.
• Ensure successful completion and handover of renewable assets.
