Job summary

Experts Group International seeks a Purchasing Department Manager to lead the purchasing function at the Tychy plant, reporting to the CEO. You will build a stable, high-performing team to secure supply, cost competitiveness and supplier performance for a technically demanding product with many components.

You will define and implement strategies, run RFQ processes, negotiate with suppliers and approve contracts while driving cost optimisation and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Automotive purchasing experience with management responsibility in manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation, tendering and financial analysis skills.
• Technical or economic university degree; engineering background is a plus.
• Fluent Polish and English; German is an advantage.
• Willingness to work on site in Tychy and travel to group HQ and suppliers.

About the company

Our client is an established international automotive supplier that develops and manufactures highly engineered systems for leading vehicle manufacturers. The business is investor-backed and has been stabilising and improving. It is now entering a growth phase, with new international business and an expanding supplier base.

The role

You will lead the Purchasing department at the Tychy plant, reporting directly to the CEO. You will build a stable, high-performing function, securing supply, cost competitiveness and supplier performance for a technically demanding product with a large number of components.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and manage the purchasing organisation
• Define and implement purchasing and commodity strategies for complex technical categories
• Run RFQ and tender processes, negotiate with suppliers and approve contracts
• Own cost optimisation, the savings budget and departmental KPIs

What we are looking for

• Automotive purchasing experience (Including management responsibility in manufacturing). This is essential
• Strong negotiation, tendering and financial analysis skills
• Technical or economic university degree. A technical or engineering background is a plus
• Fluent Polish and English. German is an advantage
• Willingness to work on site in Tychy and to travel extensively to group HQ and suppliers, especially in the first months
