Job summary

Aptiv is seeking a PTP Accountant to join our Finance team supporting procure-to-pay processes. You will ensure accurate invoice processing, perform vendor account reconciliations, and contribute to financial reporting while supporting month-end and year-end closings.

You will collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues, drive improvements in PTP processes, and ensure SOX compliance. Strong Excel and SAP skills and English fluency are required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting processes, reconciliations and financial data analysis.
• Experience with SAP; Oracle ERP knowledge is an advantage.
• English fluency for written and spoken communication.
• Proactive, well-organized with good prioritization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Process and book supplier invoices and execute payments according to the payment calendar.
• Analyze and reconcile vendor accounts, PTP sub-ledgers and GL accounts (GR/IR).
• Investigate overdue items, resolve discrepancies and clear vendor balances.
• Prepare PTP reports, ad-hoc analyses and cash flow forecasts for Treasury.
• Support month-end and year-end closing and vendor balance reconciliations.
• Collaborate with OTC and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure SOX compliance and internal controls; support audits and process improvements.

Job description

Join Aptiv as a PTP Accountant and become part of our Finance team supporting the Procure-to-Pay process.

In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, while taking ownership of vendor account analysis, reconciliations and financial reporting. You will work closely with internal teams to resolve accounting issues, support month-end and year-end closing activities and contribute to continuous improvement of our PTP processes.

Your Role:

• Process and book supplier invoices and execute payments according to the agreed payment calendar.
• Analyze and reconcile vendor accounts, PTP sub-ledgers and general ledger accounts, including GR/IR.
• Investigate overdue and blocked items, resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate clearing of vendor balances.
• Prepare PTP reports, ad-hoc analyses and liabilities cash flow forecasts for Treasury.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities and perform vendor balance reconciliations.
• Collaborate with OTC and other internal teams to resolve reconciliation and accounting issues.
• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, SOX requirements and internal control standards.
• Support internal and external audits, process improvement initiatives and other PTP-related projects.

Your Background:

• Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience working with SAP; Oracle ERP knowledge is an advantage.
• Good understanding of accounting processes, reconciliations and financial data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Proactive and well-organized approach with good prioritization and time management skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a vendor-oriented and intercultural mindset.
