Job summary

Aptiv Krakow is seeking a prepared and detail-oriented accountant to manage US GAAP and local accounting and tax for entities in scope. You will handle month-end closing, budgets, forecasts, and rebilling of shared costs across EMEA, while delivering accurate reporting and analysis.

The role requires strong Excel skills, SAP knowledge, and fluent English, with a collaborative, process-driven approach in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Economics.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Very good English.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of SAP – at least basics.
• HFM Oracle – would be an asset, but not required.
• Very good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure US GAAP and local accounting/tax treatment for entities in scope.
• Timely preparation of assigned accounting activities (JV prep, accruals, posting instructions).
• Prepare budgets/forecasts and rebilling of shared costs in the EMEA region.
• Prepare/issue invoices and month-end closing activities.
• Prepare ad-hoc calculations, reports and presentations as needed.

Job description

Your Role:

• Ensure proper US GAAP and local accounting / tax treatment for balance sheet and P&L for the entities in scope.
• Timely preparation of assigned accounting activities – e.g. JVs preparation, accruals calculation, providing posting instruction, issuing invoices, assigned financial month end closing activities.
• Preparation of Budgets and Forecasts, Actual reporting and analysis and calculations related to rebilling of APTIV shared costs in the EMEA region.
• Actual reporting, Forecast and Budget preparation, Actual&Forecats vs Budget analysis for multiple EMEA Corporate shared functions.
• Timely and accurate preparation of standards reports (e.g. OI, FX Exposure, Act&Fcst vs Bgt, variants comparisons).
• Prepare/provide other ad-hoc calculations, reports and presentations depending on corporate needs within the area of team responsibilities.
• Back‑up other team members in areas indicated by supervisor.
• Performing other tasks related to team responsibilities upon Supervisor’s request.
• On‑time execution of assigned tasks in compliance with the valid quality system valid for APTIV corporation and Technical Center in Krakow.
• Preparation and approval of JVs.
• Approval of purchase invoices, providing posting instructions.
• Preparation / issuance of sales invoices and debit / credit notes.

Your background:

• Masters degree with major Accountancy, Finance, Economics.
• Knowledge of accounting standards.
• Experience on similar position would be an asset.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Very good computer skills – especially MS Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP – at least basics.
• HFM Oracle – would be an asset, but not required.
• Very good knowledge of English.
• Very good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
