VM.PL is an established IT software house with over 20 years of experience, delivering tailor-made digital solutions for international clients. We work in close partnership with our customers, focusing on long-term cooperation, transparency, and real business value rather than short-term delivery.
We are looking for a Project Manager with Product Owner skills to support the development and delivery of strategic fixed-price/fixed-scope projects within our Product Management & Advisory area. This role combines hands‑on product ownership with responsibility for delivering projects within an agreed scope, budget, and timeline.
You will work closely with clients from the DACH region, Poland, and the United States, supporting them in product‑related decision‑making, defining strategic directions, and successfully delivering IT solutions. Beyond managing ongoing projects, you will also contribute to pre‑sales activities by participating in client meetings, gathering and analysing requirements, and supporting the preparation of proposals and scopes for future projects.
Taking responsibility for project delivery across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) – from concept and implementation through testing and deployment
Planning and managing project scope, timeline, and budget, taking full responsibility for the project “iron triangle”
Conducting business needs analysis and independently facilitating client workshops, primarily in German, including Product Discovery sessions
Creating and strategically managing the product backlog, including breaking down epics into user stories and defining clear acceptance criteria
Collaborating closely with development teams, including clarifying requirements during sprints, providing ongoing domain support, and validating delivered solutions
Preparing project and product documentation, including solution concepts, Statements of Work, and functional specifications
Monitoring project progress and proactively managing risks, dependencies, and scope changes
Managing relationships with business stakeholders and regularly reporting on project status, progress, and results
Supporting pre‑sales activities for future projects – participating in sales meetings, identifying and gathering client requirements, helping define the proposed solution and project scope, and contributing to the preparation of offers and Statements of Work
Proactively proposing improvements, optimisations, and innovative solutions, including the use of AI technologies
Very good command of German (near‑native proficiency), English (B2/C1), and Polish (B1+), enabling independent facilitation of workshops and work with project documentation
At least 3 years of experience in IT projects as a Product Owner, Project Manager, or Business Analyst, with responsibility for implementation and budget
Practical experience working with product backlogs, including creating User Stories and Epics and managing functional and non‑functional requirements
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Strong analytical skills and the ability to create solution concepts, such as process diagrams and mock‑ups
Experience or strong interest in projects within manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environments
Very good communication and organisational skills, combined with a strong customer‑oriented mindset
Valid Category B driving licence and willingness to undertake occasional business travel
Interest in AI technologies and experience using AI tools in day‑to‑day work
Hands‑on experience in pre‑sales or sales processes, particularly in requirements gathering, solution definition, or proposal preparation, would be a strong asset
Remote work with regular meetings at our Wrocław office or at client locations
Clear communication and a flat organisational structure – no unnecessary hierarchy, easy access to decision‑makers, and transparency across projects
Engaging projects – work on meaningful solutions across various industries, including e‑learning, energy, finance, manufacturing, and logistics
International clients and teams – use and develop your English and/or German in real project environments
Language classes – company‑funded English and German lessons at all levels, including classes with native speakers
Benefits package – private healthcare (LuxMed), life insurance (Unum), and a Multisport card
Focus on integration and well‑being – regular team meetings, internal initiatives, squash and badminton groups, and everyday activities that help build relationships and a positive working atmosphere
While we use modern tools, automation, and AI to support our work, every application is carefully reviewed by a real person. Your submission doesn’t end up in a black box – it reaches someone who truly reads your profile and will respond if they see potential for collaboration.
