Job summary

ZF Group is seeking a Project Controller Air Supply (m/f/d) in Wroclaw. You will partner with project managers and cross-functional teams to drive financial performance across project lifecycles and ensure cost-effective decisions.

The role requires IFRS knowledge, 2+ years in accounting/controlling, and strong Excel. Fluent English is required; German helps. A hybrid work model and exposure to an international environment await.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in accounting/reporting/controlling with IFRS experience.
• Familiarity with multiple Controlling areas (M/L, Material, R&D, Sales, Quality Cost).

Responsibilities

• Drive project team towards financial targets and identify cost gaps early.
• Critically review customer and supplier contracts for cost drivers.
• Ensure clear ownership of project financials within the team.
• Proactively evaluate the economic health of projects from creation to start of production.
• Help select the most economical project solutions based on projections.
• Identify risks and track mitigation activities with the project team.
• Facilitate decision-making and escalate when needed.
• Track change requests and maximize customer reimbursements by triggering invoicing at milestones.

Job description

The Business Controlling team plays a key role in driving project success by acting as a trusted financial partner to Project Managers and cross-functional teams.

What you can look forward to as Project Controller Air Supply (m/f/d):

• Drive project team towards committed financial targets, anticipate & identify potential FCM, GMP, M-ROCE drops in an early stage, and support initiatives in case of cost gaps;
• Critical check of commercial customer & supplier contracts (volume & productivity clauses, FX & Raw material clauses, etc.);
• Ensure that responsibilities and ownership of project financials are clearly defined in the project team;
• Evaluate proactively the economic health of projects in the creation phase and until the start of production;
• Ensure the project team selects the most economic solutions, ensure that project approval is based on accurate economic projections;
• Identify risks early, support project team in identifying, implementing, and tracking mitigation activities;
• Drive decision-making by asking the right questions, driving escalation via product line or via Finance function if necessary;
• Ensure accurate tracking of change requests (costing/pricing) within the project (change of requirements) & Push for maximum customer reimbursements by ensuring that invoicing is triggered when milestones are achieved.

Your Profile as Project Controller Air Supply (m/f/d):

• Experience: minimum 2 years in accounting/reporting/controlling, familiar with IFRS, at least two out of key Controlling areas (M&L, Material, R&D, Sales, Quality Cost);
• Escalate early in case of deviations whilst maintaining a good relationship with team members based on mutual respect;
• Open source mentality to exchange know-how within BB & PjC team;
• Very good knowledge of Excel;
• Fluent English, German will be a plus;
