Job summary

eMoney Advisor seeks an Advisory Database Administrator to support the SQL environment in a high-availability production setup. You will lead initiatives, monitor performance, and mentor the DBA team while ensuring recovery and security.

The role emphasizes automation, capacity planning, and cross-team collaboration. Ideal candidates have 8+ years of experience, 5+ years in SQL Server administration, and a strong background in Always-On configurations and enterprise-level availability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
8+ years of relevant work experience.
5 years of SQL Server Administrator experience required.

Responsibilities

Lead DBA initiatives focused on enterprise level enhancements and availability of the Production SQL environment.
Oversee daily maintenance with after hours support and provide technical mentorship.
Apply data modeling to support integration and performance expectations.
Lead efforts to analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, end-to-end.
Provide expertise on automation, scripting, job scheduling, capacity management, and virtualized SQL.
Lead the installation and configuration of database software and proactively respond to issues.
Monitor and optimize query performance and server health.
Responsible for backup and recovery of Production databases with high availability and capacity planning.
Advise management on database concepts and functions.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior DBAs.
