Job summary

DXC Luxoft is seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA to join a specialized team working on trading-related applications. You will maintain high-availability databases, tune performance, and automate maintenance tasks while supporting data migrations and replication strategies.

Key responsibilities include monitoring health, diagnosing issues, and optimizing queries and procedures. On-call rotation and ongoing improvements to processes are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Always On Availability Groups experience is required.
• Transactional Replication experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL and query optimization is essential.
• Experience with database performance monitoring and troubleshooting is required.
• Understanding of database partitioning.
• Familiarity with SSRS administration and report development.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain SQL Server databases with high availability and strong performance.
• Monitor overall database health and system metrics.
• Tune and optimize database performance.
• Diagnose and resolve database-related issues.
• Refine and optimize SQL procedures and queries.
• Develop and deploy database scripts for automation and maintenance.
• Administer Change Tracking and Replication processes.
• Participate in migration initiatives.
• Suggest process improvements to boost availability and performance.
• Take part in after-hours on-call rotation.
