Job summary

UPM is seeking a Process Controller for Fixed Assets & Leases in Wroclaw, Poland. Join our Finance & Control team within the UPM Business Hub Poland, blending remote and on-site collaboration.

As part of the role, you will manage accounting processes, ensure controls, and drive improvements across assets and leases with SAP expertise, Power BI analytics, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Subject matter expert in Fixed Assets & Leases with end-to-end process understanding.
• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field; 2+ years professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and compliance with internal controls, rules, policies and legal requirements in accounting and reporting.
• Provide expertise in complex accounting, compliance and reporting to stakeholders and service providers.
• Oversee outsourcing partner's performance in Fixed Assets & Leases, ensuring reporting quality and efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of end-to-end Fixed Assets & Leases processes, reporting services and tools.
• Participate in audit topics and provide expertise and support.
• Contribute to projects and process development initiatives to enhance quality and adoption.
• Other responsibilities and projects assigned by Manager.

What you will do

• Ensure quality and compliance with UPM internal controls, business rules, policies and legal requirements in accounting and reporting
• Provide expertise in complex accounting, compliance and reporting matters to stakeholders and service providers
• Oversee the outsourcing partner's performance in the Fixed Assets & Leases processes, ensuring reporting quality and operational efficiency
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of end-to-end Fixed Assets & Leases processes, reporting services, and tools.
• Actively participating and providing expertise and support on audit subject matter topics
• Contribute to projects and process development initiatives to enhance quality and effectiveness, ensure implementation and adoption of projects into processes
• Other responsibilities and projects assigned by Manager

Who you are

• You are a subject matter expert in Fixed Assets & Leases with a strong understanding of end-to-end processes, accounting principles, and reporting requirements
• You have hands-on experience with SAP, particularly in Fixed Assets & Leases processes
• You have strong analytical and reporting skills, including advanced use of Power BI and Microsoft Excel
• You have well-developed process management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with a proactive problem-solving mindset
• You are able to lead or support change initiatives and contribute to continuous process improvements
• You are capable of making independent decisions in line with UPM policies, guidelines, and business objectives
• You are fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is considered an advantage
• You have a bachelor's degree in finance or a related field and at least 2 years of relevant professional experience
