Job summary

Elasticsearch B.V. is seeking a Principal Product Manager for Telemetry collection within the Observability team. You will own the strategy for edge telemetry collectors, Fleet Server, Elastic Agent, and EDOT, including Logstash and Beats ecosystem.

You will drive end-to-end management capabilities from data collection to remote control at scale. You will collaborate with engineering, UX, and marketing to deliver enterprise-grade telemetry solutions and champion OTel standards across Elastic's

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management for enterprise infrastructure observability or telemetry.
• Deep familiarity with collectors, log shippers, and agent ecosystems such as OpenTelemetry Collector, Elastic Agent, Filebeat/Beats, and Logstash.
• Proven track record in remote agent management, fleet control planes, or distributed edge collection systems.
• Know-how of Kubernetes operators and Helm for cloud-native deployments.
• Experience in IT Ops/DevOps or solution architecture is a strong plus.
• Understanding of OpenTelemetry standards, receivers/exporters, and Collector architectures.
• Ability to translate complex architectures into business goals and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision, go-to-market, and roadmap for Elastic Agent, Fleet Server, and telemetry collectors.
• Track KPIs for agent deployment, pipeline efficiency, and OTel distribution adoption.
• Oversee packaging, testing, and distribution of Elastic Agent and EDOT distributions.
• Drive remote management capabilities for agent fleets at scale.
• Lead Kubernetes operator and Helm-based release strategies for cloud deployments.
• Advance OTel as a primary data shipper across Elastic Agent and upstream projects.
• Manage log shipping infra including Filebeat and Beats repository maintenance.
• Lead Logstash initiatives for better support, performance, and features.
• Collaborate with engineering, UX, and product marketing on central management experiences.
• Represent Elastic publicly on agent framework and collection ecosystem.
