Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior C++ Engineer focused on Observability to lead our observability initiatives. You will drive monitoring, telemetry, and tooling across the software lifecycle, solving challenges in high-performance, latency-sensitive environments.

The ideal candidate combines strong C++ skills with hands-on experience in OpenTelemetry, eBPF, and modern CI/CD practices, and can mentor teams while aligning with business goals. Hybrid work within Poland is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in observability engineering (metrics, tracing, logging)
• Strong profiling and telemetry pipeline skills
• Experience with large-scale monitoring platforms
• C++ engineering with cross-team collaboration
• OpenTelemetry, eBPF, and GitOps expertise
• API-driven automation and CI/CD integrated observability
• Cloud-native, Kubernetes, and distributed systems knowledge
• Ability to guide teams and set standards
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Responsibilities

• Spearhead observability implementation across the lifecycle
• Ensure customer experience, reliability, and operational insight are measurable
• Build and maintain large-scale monitoring and observability platforms
• Set standards and promote observability best practices
• Collaborate with development teams to deliver telemetry tooling
• Deploy metrics, tracing, logging, profiling, and telemetry pipelines
• Advance latency-sensitive market data system observability
• Guide teams toward shared observability goals
