Job summary

FERCHAU GmbH in Poland seeks a Primary Design Engineer for international energy projects. You will design high‑voltage substations (220 kV+) and coordinate primary systems within cross‑disciplinary teams in a BIM/3D environment.

Hybrid work from Katowice or remote with occasional travel are offered. A degree in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years HV substations experience, AutoCAD or MicroStation, MS Office, and English at B1/B2 are required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Higher technical education in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of power substations, including substations of at least 220 kV.
• Knowledge of standards and engineering guidelines related to high-voltage infrastructure.
• Knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• English proficiency at B1/B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of design documentation for high-voltage substations at concept, detailed design and as-built stages.
• Coordination of primary system engineering activities within assigned project scopes and compliance with project standards.
• Technical consultations with clients, transmission system operators and project stakeholders.
• Author's supervision during project execution phases.
• Development of interdisciplinary cooperation across engineering teams.
• Implementation of technical improvements supporting project optimization.
