Job summary

FERCHAU GmbH in Poland seeks a Primary Design Engineer for international energy projects. You will design high‑voltage substations (220 kV+) and coordinate primary systems within cross‑disciplinary teams in a BIM/3D environment.

Hybrid work from Katowice or remote with occasional travel are offered. A degree in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years HV substations experience, AutoCAD or MicroStation, MS Office, and English at B1/B2 are required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

Higher technical education in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of power substations, including substations of at least 220 kV.
Knowledge of standards and engineering guidelines related to high-voltage infrastructure.
Knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD or MicroStation.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
English proficiency at B1/B2 level.

Responsibilities

Preparation of design documentation for high-voltage substations at concept, detailed design and as-built stages.
Coordination of primary system engineering activities within assigned project scopes and compliance with project standards.
Technical consultations with clients, transmission system operators and project stakeholders.
Author's supervision during project execution phases.
Development of interdisciplinary cooperation across engineering teams.
Implementation of technical improvements supporting project optimization.
