Job summary

FERCHAU GmbH is seeking a Secondary Design Engineer for HV substations in Poland. The role supports design of protection, control, signaling and measurement systems and coordinates with multidisciplinary teams on projects for major transmission operators.

Open to Assistant or Design Engineer level with HV secondary systems experience. Work mode can be fully remote or hybrid (Warsaw, Kraków, Rzeszów, Olsztyn).

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in secondary systems design for HV substations.
• Experience with projects delivered for transmission or distribution system operators.
• Experience with Eplan P8 or SEE Electrical.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Proficiency in Polish.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of design documentation for secondary systems in high-voltage substations.
• Design of protection, control, signalling and measurement systems.
• Selection of equipment and technical solutions in accordance with client requirements and applicable standards.
• Coordination of design activities within the assigned scope and cooperation with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Technical liaison with clients and participation in project meetings.
• Author's supervision during project execution and commissioning phases.
• Development and implementation of technical solutions aimed at project optimisation.

The role offers involvement in the design of protection, control, measurement and automation systems for strategic energy investments, working alongside experienced engineering teams and contributing to the development and modernisation of the national power grid.

We are open to candidates at both Assistant Design Engineer and Design Engineer level, provided they have experience in HV substation secondary systems design,

The right qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in secondary systems design for HV substations
• Experience in projects delivered for transmission or distribution system operators
• Experience with Eplan P8 or other electrical schematic design software (e.g. SEE Electrical)
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Strong organisational skills
• Proficiency in Polish

Nice to have

• Building design licence within electrical engineering discipline
• Experience gained on projects for PSE considered a strong advantage
