Job summary

PQE Group in Poland is seeking a PPWR Packaging Compliance Specialist to coordinate the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 and ensure packaging compliance across the product portfolio.

You will review documentation, assess packaging against environmental and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with Quality Management, R&D/Technology Development, Production, Purchasing, Sales & Marketing, and Environmental Protection to embed PPWR compliance into packaging changes.

Qualifications

  • Experience implementing PPWR requirements.
  • Practical knowledge of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR).
  • Ability to organize work independently and manage projects related to regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate PPWR implementation activities and ensure packaging compliance with regulations.
  • Review documentation and prepare assessments, declarations of conformity for packaging.
  • Monitor PPWR requirements documentation and maintain related records.
  • Evaluate packaging for recyclability, weight reduction and environmental performance.
  • Assist in design of new packaging and modifications to reduce material use and increase recycled content.
  • Prepare and approve product qualifications per PPWR requirements.
  • Implement PPWR labeling and ensure compliance with other regulations.
  • Analyze PPWR obligations across the supply chain and monitor regulatory changes.
  • Develop and update procedures and standards for packaging compliance.
  • Support procurement and collaborate with suppliers to obtain necessary data and documents.

Due to our constant growth, we are looking for a PPWR Packaging Compliance Specialist to coordinate the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR) requirements and ensure packaging compliance across our product portfolio.

In this role, you will review documentation, assess packaging against environmental and regulatory requirements, and work cross-functionally to embed PPWR compliance into new product and packaging development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate activities related to the implementation of PPWR requirements and ensure packaging compliance with applicable regulations;
  • Review documentation and prepare assessments, analyses, and declarations of conformity related to packaging;
  • Monitor and maintain documentation associated with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR);
  • Evaluate packaging in terms of recyclability, weight minimization, and other environmental requirements arising from PPWR;
  • Participate in the design of new packaging and modification of existing solutions, including analysis of opportunities to reduce material consumption, increase use of recycled materials, and improve environmental performance;
  • Prepare and approve product qualifications in accordance with PPWR requirements;
  • Implement packaging labeling requirements resulting from PPWR and other national and EU regulations;
  • Analyze the company's obligations under PPWR based on its role within the supply chain (manufacturer, producer, importer, distributor) and monitor legislative changes;
  • Develop and update procedures, instructions, and organizational standards related to packaging compliance;
  • Support the Purchasing Department in supplier collaboration and work with internal departments to obtain technical data, declarations, certificates, and other documents required to demonstrate packaging compliance;
  • Closely cooperate with Quality Management, R&D/Technology Development, Production, Purchasing, Sales & Marketing, and Environmental Protection departments during the implementation of new products and packaging changes.
About you:
  • Experience implementing PPWR requirements;
  • Practical knowledge of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR), including the ability to interpret and apply legal requirements related to packaging;
  • Ability to organize work independently and manage projects related to regulatory compliance;
  • Available for an ASAP start, hybrid work model in Poland.

Project duration: minimum 6 months with high possibility of extension.

The salary range for this position is PLN 10.000- 14.000 gross per month, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
