Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Payroll Time Analyst, German speaking, to join our team in Poland. The role manages end-to-end payroll time processing within Workday for assigned pay groups, analyzes time data, and prepares reports for leadership, audits, and compliance.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree, 5+ years in payroll/time-to-pay, and fluent English and German, with strong analytical skills and Excel; Power BI is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Payroll and/or Time-to-Pay.
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll time regulations for Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage end-to-end Payroll Time processes for assigned pay groups within Workday.
  • Analyze time data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Create and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports to support business leaders, audits, compliance requirements, and workforce analysis.
  • Support complex employee and manager inquiries through detailed time data analysis and issue resolution.
  • Develop and execute testing scenarios, including user acceptance testing (UAT), system enhancements, and new feature releases.
  • Process and validate retroactive time transactions while ensuring compliance with company policy and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor payroll time controls, identify process risks and control gaps, and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with Payroll and other cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives by leveraging data insights, automation, AI tools, and reporting capabilities.
  • Manage project deliverables from initiation through implementation, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Support Workday Time module administration and contribute to system optimization efforts.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience in Payroll and/or Time-to-Pay.
  • 2 or more years of experience in payroll time regulations for Germany.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 or more years of experience utilizing reporting, automation, AI, or data analytics tools.
Additional Job Standards
  • Fluency in both English and German.
  • Deep understanding of company policies and country-specific compliance requirements for Germany.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll time systems, preferably Workday Time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in a professional business environment.
  • Intermediate Excel skills required; Power BI experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance and time administration processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into business solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Proven ability to identify trends and proactively recommend process improvements.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating findings effectively to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The Payroll Time Analyst II is responsible for supporting Payroll Time operations, managing end-to-end payroll time processing within Workday, and providing data-driven insights to support business and operational decisions. This role serves as a subject matter expert for Germany payroll time processes, ensuring compliance with company policies, collective agreements (where applicable), and country-specific statutory regulations.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of payroll time administration, time reporting, regulatory compliance, and data analytics. They will independently manage payroll time activities for assigned pay groups, including retroactive time transactions, complex case resolution, testing activities, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This position also plays a key role in supporting Payroll Time projects, driving operational excellence, identifying control gaps, and implementing sustainable solutions that enhance the employee and manager experience.
