Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced EMEA Payroll Manager to oversee payroll processing across multiple countries from Poland. You will ensure accurate transactions, time and attendance, and pension administration while maintaining strong controls and supporting audits.

Required are a bachelor or master degree and at least 5 years of payroll experience, with fluency in German and English and knowledge of German payroll legislation.

Responsibilities

• Manage all payroll transactions for assigned countries.

• Oversee payroll taxes and benefits payments for Germany, the Nordics, and the Netherlands, with potential future responsibility for additional countries.
• Evaluate payroll and time management systems and recommend and operate efficiency improvements.
• Support EMEA payroll implementation and enhancement projects.

• Manage all payroll transactions for assigned countries.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of regular and irregular payroll payments for assigned geographies.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of related time and attendance transactions.
• Administer the Employers Pension scheme.
• Perform regular audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Adhere to company policies and controls and maintain a strong control environment across assigned entities.
• Support internal and external payroll and time management audits.
• Manage the time and attendance system as the connection point for local stakeholders, including implementation and improvement projects.
• Answer associates’ and managers’ questions regarding payroll matters, records, deductions, and procedures.
• Provide required payroll-related documentation to associates.
• Identify, develop, and implement payroll and attendance-management process improvements.
• Participate in process improvement and digitalization projects.
• Recommend and initiate countermeasures.
• Keep payroll process documentation up to date.
• Report to the EMEA Payroll Manager.
• Oversee payroll taxes and benefits payments for Germany, the Nordics, and the Netherlands, with potential future responsibility for additional countries.
• Evaluate payroll and time management systems and recommend and operate efficiency improvements.
• Support EMEA payroll implementation and enhancement projects.

Requirements

• Graduated with a bachelor or master degree.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience related with payroll.
• Ability to apply complex analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of German payroll legislation and related requirements; knowledge of other countries is an asset.
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint and Excel.
• Proficiency with Oracle and ProTime T&A System are an asset.
• Languages: German and English; other languages are an asset.
