Job summary

Siemens Gamesa is building an Offshore Heavy Lift Technician team in Poland. The role requires electrical or mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics and control systems, with safety and quality as top priorities. Training will be provided for candidates transitioning into wind.

Willingness to travel globally on rotation and contribute to service and warranty activities with crane operations will be essential. Fluency in English is required; join a multinational team.

Qualifications

• Electrical and/or mechanical knowledge with hydraulics and control systems.
• NVQ or City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualification.
• Previous experience of working in major component exchanges would be advantageous.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbally.
• Willingness to travel; globally on rotation.
• Ability to work in teams and across mixed cultures.

Responsibilities

• Caring out technical duties (Mechanical/Electrical) on Wind Turbine Generators to the highest of Quality Standards.
• Providing technical instruction and guidance to peers and less experienced members of our Heavy Lift Service team.
• Working on daily objectives and delivering results that have a direct impact on the Wind Turbine.
• Ensuring compliance with Siemens Gamesa standards and local legislation in relation to the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS).
• Ensuring that all parts and tools are adequately stored and maintained; calibration on tooling is managed to minimize disruption.
• Taking an active role in supporting all Service/Warranty activities requiring use of a large crane (Jack Up) and participating in on-call arrangements.
