Siemens Gamesa is building an Offshore Heavy Lift Technician team in Poland. The role seeks individuals with electrical or mechanical backgrounds to transition into offshore wind.

You will perform mechanical/electrical duties on wind turbine generators and provide guidance to peers within a dynamic service team. Opportunity includes full training for the right candidate, global travel on rotation, and involvement in crane-based service and warranty work.

Qualificações

• Electrical and mechanical knowledge with hydraulics, rotating parts, and control systems.
• NVQ or City & Guilds (or equivalent) required or accepted.
• Fluency in English and willingness to travel globally are expected.

Responsabilidades

• Perform mechanical/electrical duties on Wind Turbine Generators to high quality standards.
• Provide technical instruction and guidance to peers and junior team members.
• Work on daily objectives delivering results impacting the wind turbine.
• Ensure EHS compliance per Siemens Gamesa standards and improve processes.
• Maintain tools and parts, manage calibration/inspection on tooling to minimize project disruption.
• Support service and warranty activities requiring crane use and participate in on-call arrangements.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Caring out technical duties (Mechanical/Electrical) on Wind Turbine Generators to the highest of Quality Standards.
• Providing technical instruction and guidance to peers and less experienced members of our Heavy Lift Service team.
• Working on daily objectives and delivering results that have a direct impact on the Wind Turbine.
• Ensuring compliance with Siemens Gamesa standards and local legislation in relation to the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS), you will ensure these standards are improved as an individual and as a group, through active participation and engagement with SGRE EHS processes.
• Ensuring that all parts and tools are adequately stored and in good condition when used and any certification/inspection/calibration on tooling is managed to minimize disruption to the project.
• Taking an active role in supporting all Service/Warranty activities that require use of a large crane (Jack Up), (Inc. defective major component parts removal and replacement) &/or participating in designated warranty campaigns and participate in on call arrangements - Please note that flexibility is a must.

What You Bring

• Electrical and/or Mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics, rotating parts and control systems and qualifications i.e. NVQ or City and Guilds (or equivalent).
• Previous experience of working in major component exchanges would be advantageous. We gladly welcome dedicated young technicians who are at the beginning of their journey that would like to transition into the wind industry. So full training will be provided for the right candidate without experience.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbally.
• Willingness to travel, you will be utilized all over the globe on rotation.
• Ability to work with processes and procedures and ability to work as a team, experience of working within mixed cultures is helpful and an overall positive attitude and willingness to learn everything there is about the Offshore industry and Heavy Lift in particular.
• Strong organizational skills and communication skills. You can communicate with other technicians and support personnel. Excellent customer service skills, ability to maintain good client relationships across multiple sites with different customer expectations.
