Job summary

Akamai's Observability Team is seeking a Product Manager to shape the future of its observability portfolio. You will define goals, gather requirements, and drive execution from concept to launch across metrics, dashboards, APIs, and alerts.

You will partner with engineering, design, and customer teams to deliver scalable product solutions, translate customer needs into PRDs, and monitor performance and market trends to guide investments and success metrics.

Qualifications

• Extensive Product Management experience with technical expertise to collaborate on system design, APIs, data flows, and trade-offs.
• Work on observability, monitoring, analytics, infrastructure, or data products while understanding telemetry, monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting concepts.
• Write PRDs and translate customer needs into actionable requirements, understanding use cases to develop scalable product solutions.
• Demonstrate strong analytical abilities, effective communication, and ability to manage relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product goals, requirements, and roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives.
• Creating PRDs, defining features with acceptance criteria, and developing essential product documentation.
• Engaging with customers and internal stakeholders to understand use cases, challenges, and outcomes.
• Enhancing usability across metrics, dashboards, APIs, alerts, and analytics without compromising quality.
• Simplifying the product portfolio by consolidating, rationalizing, and executing EOL initiatives with engineering and business stakeholders.
• Analyzing customer feedback, product usage, and market trends to identify opportunities, prioritize investments, define success metrics, and measure customer impact.
