Job summary

Akamai Technologies GmbH is looking for a Product Manager to shape the future of its Observability portfolio. In this role, you will develop products that allow customers to monitor and optimize application performance and availability.

Akamai seeks a Product Manager to shape the future of its Observability portfolio. This role involves developing products that enable customers to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application and infrastructure performance, reliability, and availability.

This role collaborates with engineering, design, and customer teams to deliver metrics, dashboards, alerts, APIs, and observability systems. Seeking a technical product manager to understand customer needs, define requirements, and lead execution from concept to launch.

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product goals, requirements, and roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Creating Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), defining features with precise acceptance criteria, and developing additional essential product documentation.
  • Engaging with customers and internal stakeholders to comprehend use cases, challenges, and desired outcomes effectively.
  • Enhancing usability experiences across metrics, dashboards, APIs, alerts, and analytics without compromising functionality or quality.
  • Simplifying the product portfolio by consolidating, rationalizing, and executing EOL initiatives in collaboration with engineering and business stakeholders.
  • Analyzing customer feedback, product usage, and market trends to identify opportunities, prioritize investments, define success metrics, and measure customer impact.

  • Demonstrate extensive Product Management experience with technical expertise to collaborate effectively on system design, APIs, data flows, and trade-offs.
  • Work on observability, monitoring, analytics, infrastructure, or data products while understanding telemetry, monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting concepts.
  • Write PRDs and translate customer needs into actionable requirements, understanding use cases to develop scalable product solutions effectively.
  • Demonstrate exceptional analytical abilities, effective communication, and expertise in managing relationships with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional setting alongside engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to achieve shared objectives.
