Job summary

Outokumpu Oyj in Katowice, Poland, seeks a Network Engineer to translate business requirements into secure, scalable network solutions and to design documentation for high- and low-level architectures.

You will plan capacity, coordinate implementations with project teams, and support security initiatives with infrastructure and cybersecurity. The role includes delivering robust ops docs and a smooth handover to the NOC, in a collaborative, hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and enterprise LAN, WAN, and WLAN technologies.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise network solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Aruba Switches, and ClearPass.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
• Experience with automation, scripting, and infrastructure tooling is an advantage.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with technical and business stakeholders.

Job description

What you will do:

• Translate business requirements into secure and scalable network solutions.
• Design and maintain high- and low-level network architecture documentation.
• Plan network capacity and define implementation approaches, considering business continuity, security, and operational needs.
• Lead and coordinate network implementations with project teams.
• Support network security initiatives in collaboration with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams.
• Develop operational documentation and ensure a smooth handover to the Network Operations Center (NOC).
• Configure and manage networking tools, while driving automation, scripting, APIs, and AI use cases.

What you bring:

Salary range in Poland: 13,800 - 17,300 zl. gross. Final offer will depend on candidate’s experience and competence.
