Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Warsaw is seeking a Middle Office Analyst to provide operational support to Traders across securities, cash, and derivatives, handling data, monitoring trades and settlements.

You will produce reports and liaise with Brokers, Custodians and Accounting teams, while ensuring regulatory compliance and identifying process improvements. The role offers training and a structured onboarding, with flexible working arrangements including remote options.

Qualifications

• Good English and computer literacy (MS Outlook and Excel) with willingness to learn.
• Able to work independently and in teams; strong analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Willingness to learn capital markets and place and settle trades with guidance.

Responsibilities

What we do:

Middle Office Trade Processing is processing Capital Markets transactions – placing orders, confirming and settling trades, processing Voluntary Corporate Actions. The scope of instruments we cover include Equities, Bonds, FXs, Money Markets, Derivatives, Collective Investments like Mutual, Hedge, Private Equity funds. We cooperate with Brokers, Custodian Banks and Transfer Agents from all over the world on global markets (North & Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia).

Middle Office Analyst is a position responsible for providing operational support to Traders with securities, cash and derivatives transactions. It includes: static data management, trade monitoring and reporting, market matching and transaction settlement. This position is based on multiple parties communication (via phone, email or personally) in order to investigate incoming queries and to monitor trade execution.

Responsibilities:

• Provide an operational support to Traders with securities, cash and derivatives transactions
• Prepare daily and weekly/monthly reports
• Cooperate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders like: Brokers, Custodian, Accounting Teams etc.
• Perform control functions such as daily trade monitoring, reconciliations across systems and failed trades management
• Assist Team Manager/Supervisor in all their duties as required
• Reply to complex Client’s queriesand perform analysis of any discrepancies
• Review existing processes/applications and identify opportunities for improvement and support the development
• Provide support to junior staff in daily work
• Operational risk awareness and ensuring process is compliant with regulations. to minimize processing risk. Ability to identify risk gaps in end-to-end process
• Participate in projects/changes/implementations on team level

Qualifications:

We require good English, being computer literate (especially in the use of MS Outlook and Excel) willing to learn, and to gain the experience in financial world.
If you are the person who like to work independently and in teams, have analytical thinking and problem solving skills. You are not afraid to work under pressure meeting deadlines we will teach you everything you need to place an order and settle a trade, even if today you don’t know anything about capital markets!

Relevant degree or equivalent experience is required (experience in finance industry is preferred). Willingness to work in the capital markets and determination to learn.
