Job summary

Citi Solutions Center Poland is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a team supporting Citi’s FX eTrading and Citi Velocity platforms. You will drive day-to-day service delivery, manage risks, and partner with Trading, Sales, Technology and Operations across locations.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, 5–8 years in financial services, and a track record in process improvement and automation. Hybrid work model offered with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of relevant financial services experience, preferably FX/markets or electronic trading.
• Proven people leadership or team-management experience.
• Strong understanding of FX products, electronic trading and capital markets.
• Experience with client-facing trading platforms or electronic trading infrastructure is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with process improvement, automation or technology-driven transformation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team responsible for FX electronic trading and Citi Velocity services, ensuring daily delivery and coverage.
• Provide coaching, performance management, resource planning and development.
• Oversee client setup, platform access, pricing and trading configuration processes.
• Ensure configurations remain accurate and aligned across systems.
• Collaborate with FX Trading, Sales, Product, Technology and Operations to resolve issues and improve client experience.
• Manage incidents and escalations, coordinating investigations and communication.
• Identify opportunities to automate and simplify processes to reduce risk.
• Support new products, platform capabilities and technology changes in FX eTrading.
• Monitor performance via KPIs and KRIs, reporting trends and remediation needs.
• Maintain strong control environment and regulatory compliance.

Team/Role Overview

The FX eTrading / Citi Velocity Operations Manager is a seasoned professional responsible for managing a team supporting Citi’s electronic FX business and client-facing Citi Velocity platform. The role combines people leadership, operational management and strong understanding of electronic trading and capital markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective day-to-day service delivery, maintaining strong operational controls and supporting continuous improvement and automation across the function. The role requires close partnership with Trading, Sales, Technology, Product and other Operations teams across multiple locations. Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills are required, together with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced and highly controlled environment.
The individual will exercise a high degree of autonomy within their area of responsibility and will be expected to identify risks, drive resolution of operational issues and contribute to broader initiatives affecting the FX eTrading environment.

What you’ll do:

• Manage and develop a team responsible for supporting FX electronic trading and Citi Velocity services, ensuring effective day-to-day delivery and appropriate operational coverage
• Provide leadership, coaching and performance management, including resource planning, workload management and development of team members
• Oversee operational processes supporting electronic FX client setup, platform access, pricing and trading configuration and related client servicing activities
• Ensure client and trading configurations remain accurate and aligned across relevant systems and platforms
• Partner closely with FX Trading, Sales, Product, Technology and Operations to resolve issues and deliver an effective client experience
• Manage operational incidents and complex escalations, coordinating investigation, remediation and communication across relevant stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate processes, reducing manual intervention and operational risk
• Support implementation of new products, platform capabilities, client solutions and technology changes within the FX eTrading environment
• Monitor operational performance through appropriate KPIs, KRIs and management reporting, identifying trends and areas requiring remediation
• Maintain a strong control environment and ensure processes comply with applicable policies, standards and regulatory requirements
• Participate in cross-functional and global initiatives impacting Citi Velocity and FX electronic trading

What we’ll need from you:

• 5–8 years of relevant experience within financial services, preferably in FX, Markets, electronic trading or a related Operations environment
• Previous people management or significant team leadership experience
• Good understanding of FX products, electronic trading and capital markets
• Experience supporting client-facing trading platforms or electronic trading infrastructure would be an advantage
• Strong operational risk and control mindset
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex issues and work effectively across multiple stakeholder groups
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to operate independently, prioritize competing demands and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with process improvement, automation or technology-driven transformation is highly desirable
• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
