Overview of the Role
As a MicroStrategy Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in the stability and optimization of the company’s MicroStrategy platform environments. Your expertise will ensure seamless business intelligence operations, supporting mission‑critical analytics and reporting solutions for global clients. This role is vital to maintaining high platform availability, security, and performance, directly impacting organizational decision‑making and client satisfaction.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain MicroStrategy platform environments, ensuring continuous availability and reliability.
- Manage user access, security roles and permissions to safeguard data integrity and compliance.
- Monitor platform health, perform regular health checks, and address system alerts proactively.
- Conduct capacity planning and make recommendations for platform sizing and scaling to support evolving business needs.
- Coordinate and execute deployments, upgrades and release support activities.
- Provide incident triage, troubleshooting and resolution for platform‑related issues, ensuring rapid incident response and minimal downtime.
- Support and maintain runtime dependencies, including Linux, AWS, Tomcat, WebLogic and containerized environments as applicable.
- Maintain comprehensive operations runbooks, deployment and access logs, health reports, incident notes and administrative knowledge transfer (KT) documentation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth onboarding and off‑boarding of user access.
- Participate in change management processes to ensure controlled and documented platform modifications.
Skill Requirements
- Proven experience with MicroStrategy platform administration, including Narrowcast and administrative concepts.
- Strong proficiency in AWS cloud environments and Linux system administration.
- Hands‑on expertise with Tomcat, WebLogic and container‑based runtime platforms.
- Solid understanding of capacity planning, release management and platform scalability.
- Proficient in SQL and database connectivity for business intelligence solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in incident and change management within enterprise IT environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Relevant certifications in MicroStrategy, AWS or Linux administration are highly desirable.
Other Requirements (Optional)
- Experience with automation and scripting for platform administration is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Prior exposure to supporting multinational or large‑scale enterprise environments.
