Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a MicroStrategy Architect / Principal Architect to shape the enterprise BI landscape. You will define end-to-end architecture strategies, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure analytics solutions that align with client goals.

Lead semantic modeling, governance, and dashboard architecture; drive performance improvements and cloud/on-prem deployment decisions, collaborating with delivery teams globally.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in BI architecture, with at least 5 years in MicroStrategy.
• Strong expertise in MicroStrategy architecture, enterprise BI strategy, and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee enterprise BI architecture leveraging MicroStrategy.
• Define semantic layers, schema patterns, and data modeling standards.
• Govern dashboard and report architecture for consistency, usability, and scalability.
• Lead performance tuning initiatives to optimize BI solutions for speed and reliability.
• Assess cloud and on-premises deployment impacts for robust, future-ready solutions.
• Advise on BI migration, modernization, and managed services design.
• Establish architecture blueprints, solution designs, standards, and governance guardrails.
• Develop migration strategies and capacity planning to ensure seamless transitions.

Overview of the Role

As a MicroStrategy Architect / Principal Architect at HCLTech, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the enterprise BI landscape. You will define and drive end-to-end architecture strategies, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure business intelligence solutions. Your expertise will directly influence the organization's ability to harness data, optimize analytics, and achieve technology modernization, supporting HCLTech’s mission to deliver transformative solutions to its clients.

• Design and oversee enterprise BI architecture leveraging MicroStrategy, aligning with company and client objectives.
• Define semantic layers, schema patterns, and data modeling standards to ensure cohesive and efficient analytics solutions.
• Govern dashboard and report architecture, ensuring consistency, usability, and scalability across deployments.
• Lead performance tuning initiatives, optimizing BI solutions for speed and reliability.
• Assess and strategize cloud and on-premises deployment impacts, ensuring solutions are robust and future-ready.
• Advise on BI migration, modernization, and managed services design, supporting business transformation efforts.
• Establish architecture blueprints, solution designs, standards, and governance guardrails.
• Develop migration strategies and performance capacity recommendations to ensure seamless transitions and scalability.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure successful architecture handover and customer acceptance.

Skill Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in BI architecture, with at least 5 years in MicroStrategy.
• Demonstrated expertise in MicroStrategy architecture and enterprise BI strategy.
• Strong skills in schema design, data warehouse/semantic modeling, and embedded analytics.
• Experience with governance, performance tuning, and dashboard/report architecture.
• Proficiency in cloud and on-premises architecture, including AWS, Linux, and platform sizing.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Relevant certifications in MicroStrategy or BI/analytics platforms are highly desirable.

• Familiarity with additional BI tools or platforms.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
